Under the co-artistic direction of Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and award winning, Dutch-Israeli, choreographer Itzik Galili, Boston Dance Theater (BDT) is Boston’s first contemporary dance repertory company with international ties at the leadership level. With a commitment to presenting works of socio-political relevance, BDT matches the talents of Boston-based dancers with those of acclaimed global choreographers, broadening the scope of contemporary dance practice and performance in their city.
With a shared vision and values, we are eager to explore collaborations between Jersey and Boston, so could not be more delighted to announce that they will be visiting us for a few days on the back of their tour in London this winter.
This event will be held in a very informal setting in our studio. Dancers from each company will perform a few excerpts from their respective repertoire, we will show you the results of the two workshop days we will have in the studio all together, and hear from both directors and both sets of dancers about the similarities and differences of our two companies, and our plans for our future collaboration.
Tickets on sale soon through Eventbrite.
