We are a company of full-time professional artists and athletes, and the first organisation of our kind to be based in the Channel Islands.
We aim to inspire our people to strive for greatness. We want the children of Jersey to grow up with role models that encourage them to pursue excellence in whatever they choose to do. Our mission is to create great art that represents and belongs to our island.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Rebecca Sprent
Rebecca Sprent is a financial controller with Brevan Howard. Having trained at a top tier audit firm in Jersey, she holds ACCA and Chartered Governance Institute qualifications and has extensive experience working in the private equity sector and fund administration.
Robert Christie
Robert Christie is a Jersey Advocate, and English and BVI Barrister, specialising in trusts, insolvency, corporate and commercial litigation. He was educated at the University of Oxford and is a litigation partner at Bedell Cristin.
Emilia Lacy
Emilia Lacy studied music at Edinburgh University and singing at Trinity College of Music. She enjoyed a varied career as an opera singer combining performing, teaching, and administration at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. For several seasons she was in the chorus at Grange Park Opera, and then went on to work with the Opera’s philanthropists and donor relationships. She now owns Emilia Lacy Designs, an interior design agency in Jersey.
Zachary Lewy
Zachary Lewy is the Founder, Group CEO, and CIO of Arrow Global, a fund manager and asset servicing business he established in 2005 which now manages more than €70 billion in GBV. In 2010 Zach was an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He has previously served on the Board of the English National Ballet and the English National Ballet School. Zach is a graduate of Princeton University with a BA with Honours in Economics and a Certificate in Applied and Computational Mathematics.
ARTISTIC TEAM
Carolyn Rose Ramsay, FOUNDING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Carolyn Rose Ramsay is originally from Vancouver BC, and her training took place at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. She danced professionally with Ballet Nacional de Cuba, Miami City Ballet, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, and the Norwegian National Ballet.
ESTELLE LE BRUN,
COMPANY MANAGER
Estelle Le Brun trained in musical theatre in the UK, before continuing on to a career in stage management and theatre tech. She has worked with the Jersey Opera House, Battle of the Flowers, and London Limelight. She joins Ballet d'Jèrri as our Company Manager.
HELEN OLIVER,
REHEARSAL DIRECTOR
Helen Oliver left Jersey as a teenager for the chance to study at Elmhurst, and spent her dancing career with the English National Ballet. In addition to her work with the company, Helen trains ballet students and teaches Body Control Pilates.
ALICIA BECK,
REHEARSAL DIRECTOR
Alicia Beck danced as a member of Ballet Dortmund, Ballet Zürich, and Ballet Nice Méditerranée. She then went on to become a soloist on the West End. Alicia is a graduate of Elmhurst Ballet School and a Stott Pilates instructor.
