Motion - live performance inspired by art

  • CCA Galleries International 10 Hill Street Jersey, St Helier, JE2 4UA Jersey (map)

This very special event marks the closing of Kay Le Seelleur Ara’s solo exhibition Curiosity Didn’t Kill the Cat.  A collaboration between CCA galleries International, Ballet d'Jèrri and the artist Kay Le Seelleur Ara. Choreographed by Tabitha Dombroski who has created Motion specifically for the CCAI gallery space.

Motion explores space and distinctive movement qualities evoked by Kay Le Seelleur Ara’s solo exhibition of drawings and paintings. Dombroski provides a guided tour through the gallery with movement artists bringing the images of the painter to life. Delving into the dancers' inner motivations and evoking emotive states for an intimate audience. Motion blurs the traditional boundaries of stage and audience, fostering a sense of safety, connection, vulnerability and inclusivity.

Performance Duration 1 hour
