Originally from Ostrava, Markéta Pospíšilová completed her studies at the Janáček Conservatory and went on to join the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre, where she rose to the position of soloist in 2010. Throughout her time there, she performed leading roles in ballets such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Swan Lake, earning a Thalia Award nomination for her portrayal of Odette/Odile.
In 2015, she joined Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, where she performed under the guidance of director and choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot. Her repertoire there included Le Songe, La Belle, Cendrillon, Casse-Noisette Compagnie, La Mégère apprivoisée, Altro Canto, Choré, as well as pieces by renowned choreographers like Jiří Kylián and Mats Ek.
Since September 2020, Markéta has been working as a freelance dancer and ballet instructor based in Prague. She frequently collaborates with companies in the Czech Republic and also works with Ballet Am Rhein and Ballet National du Rhin. In addition, she has taken on the role of ballet master at DJKT.
